I have prayed for a community for quite some time now. A community where all creative spirits could come together, not just photographers. Discovering Tuesdays Together and The Rising Tide Society was a gift from above.
As stated on the Rising Tide’s site they are about “Educating and Empowering Creatives to Thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition.”
I say, Yes! And I say, Amen!
The Tuesday meet-ups were designed to bring us together locally so that we can connect, make new creative friends, and support each other as we hustle through our businesses. How amazing, right? I am a firm believer that in person connections build stronger and more genuine relationships. They are so valuable to building a community of trust, understanding, and hope. I feel like I am somewhat on a soap box here considering I just spoke of this in yesterday’s blog post!
I have a feeling I am not alone though!! So if you are on the same wave length as me .. (hehehe wave … rising tide!) (yes, pun intended) then you might find a great home here at the Charlotte Tuesdays Together meet-ups!!! I personally would love to connect with you and I think it’s safe to say so would all the other creatives!!
If you are feeling a little unsure or uncomfortable about showing up alone and potentially not knowing anyone, I am here to tell you not to worry! Even though I ended up knowing a few people, I showed up assuming I would not know a single soul. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Each week there is a new topic for discussion. Kristin and Becky did a wonderful job leading our group discussion about Client Experience. It was awesome to hear everyone’s perspective about what client experience looks and feels like. Just when I thought I had client experience nailed down, I am happy to walk away with new ideas to consider for my own business. We should never stop learning and growing, right?
