Keeping It Classy | Dress It Up | Charlotte NC Photographer
Your Senior year of high school is such a monumental year. You have just finished four long years of high school and you are about to embark on the next major chapter in your life. This is a time of celebration and excitement so I recommend for everyone to capture this special moment with senior portraits. Now that you are celebrating four years of hard work with senior portraits, if you are anything like me you might want to do it in STYLE! Getting dressed up can make you feel great and when you feel great it can be really easy to capture how happy you are to be a senior. This Keeping It Classy post is all about doing just that and dressing it up for your senior portrait session. We may not all be the glamazon models on the front covers of magazines but we can all add some sparkle, especially in a senior portrait session, to help let us shine!
When every little girl thinks about glamour pearls and glitter come to mind very quickly, however, this can become gaudy just as fast. Even though you can go overboard quickly I still refuse to give up my girlish love for long strands of pearls and my obsession with glitter. You can still have all the sparkle you want if you just pair it with neutrals like denim and nude colors. Denim and glitter have become my new favorite pairing and it looks great with a classic pearl necklace.
While I love glitz and contemplating perfectly styled outfits, dressing up can still be feel effortless. Long maxi dresses, when paired with the right accessories, can create a very glamorous look. They are also super comfortable! Just add a great necklace and pair of earrings and your on your way to a dressy fashionable look. Once you add a shoe with a little heel, it can even be a wedge, you have put together a dressed up look that feel easy and breezy.
Finally, don't be afraid of the stone! Costume jewelry is becoming extremely popular and I have started wearing big necklaces with almost every outfit. You can even incorporate this trend into your shoes! The large stones and gems add the perfect touch to all your outfits and can dress up any look.
Your senior portraits need to capture you, but let them capture the best side of YOU! Dress it up and have a little fun.
