1. The Owners

The owners, Genie and Terry Graham, are two of the most warm and inviting people that I have encountered in the wedding Industry. They genuinely want The Ivy Place to be a peaceful, family friendly environment that is perfect for your wedding day. The wonderful owners take so much pride in making sure that The Ivy place has a such a welcoming environment because it has been their family home since 1978. Even their daughters were married here. Genie, herself, does all of the gorgeous landscaping and gardening that can be found throughout the 33 acres of land. Personal touches like this are what makes certain venues and owners particularly special.

2. Tucked Away But Still Full of Amenities

The Ivy Place may be tucked away on a large amount of land, but it is still close enough to Charlotte for you to enjoy the city. Being so close to Ballantyne, gives your guests plenty of options for hotel accommodations and also allows for you to have easy access to restaurants for rehearsal dinners and pre-wedding gatherings.

Also, The Ivy Place has everything they could possibly need on site. There is a tent already included in the venue so you do not have to rent one and there is even an event planner that works directly with the venue. The bridal cottage is the perfect place for you and your bridal party to get ready in and will also accommodate people who wish to sleep there. The bridal cottage has a full kitchen, two beds, and a bathroom. With a space like this, you will fill right at home while preparing to walk down the aisle.

3. Property for Portraits

My favorite thing about The Ivy Place has to be how gorgeous it is for portrait back drops. It is full of gardens with beautiful flowers and even fruit! The renovations and meticulous landscaping create a flawless space for your pictures. There are also 8 possible ceremony sites which could allow your wedding images to be even more unique. If you are still having trouble  visualizing how beautiful The Ivy Place is, picture yourself getting married in a few of these images and you will be as sold as I am.
