Diary of a Charleston Bride | Charleston Florist | Wedding Photographer

I will be the first to admit that saving money when planning a wedding can be difficult. Luckily I have a super helpful Charleston SC Florist, Pretty Petals of Charleston, who is great about finding ways to cut down costs! After speaking to her this weekend we trimmed hundreds of dollars off the budget, and I was so excited to share her ideas with you! One thing we are doing is utilizing the bridesmaid’s bouquets at the reception. I am having 8 girls, so after the ceremony we will take their bouquets and use them as centerpieces on 8 of the tables. For the remaining tables we are going to stick lanterns with blush colored rose petals, and an LED candle in the middle- so simple yet so pretty!

Another way we are saving is using the two arrangements from the church in the lobby of the reception and on the guest book table. And for my “toss bouquet” she is just going to use leftover flowers from making the other arrangements. We are also going to use leftover flowers for the bathrooms to give it a nicer touch!

Candles are so romantic, and are an additional way we are cutting costs. I plan on placing them all over the reception to give it an elegant feel at a minimal cost. I found these at a great price!

I was so thankful for her being so resourceful and budget-savvy! Do you have any money saving tips? I would LOVE to hear them!
