Genuine brings the ultimate girls camp right to your neighborhood, combining fun, faith and friendship into one incredible week. Girls ages 10-15 years old cultivate their God-given skills and talents in a mix of indoor and outdoor moments, creative play, small group devotion, worship, quiet time at camp all day and sleeping soundly back at home at night—all of this while learning more about Jesus.

Here at Genuine we aim to disciple our next generation of young women - to expand God’s kingdom and glorify Him through all we do.
2 years ago,
we launched our first one day camp with just 12 campers.
By the Lord’s hand our second camp in 2022 expanded into two days with 36 campers with a special session just for moms of campers.
Now we are a week long
day camp still with the same mission to provide a safe, fun, and judgment-free space for our youth.
A space to equip them with how to be kind to themselves and others as they step into who God created them to be.
We exist to equip this generation of girls with the confidence to follow jesus before anyone else.
That through the love of christ and his word we can have the confidence to be who he created us to be.
Genuine has created this unique one week camp that turns both girl time and God time into a meaningful and valuable experience. Choose Kind Camp is the place where friendships take root, Jesus is the focus, and the best girl time is guaranteed.

our camp schedule is perfectly balanced with SCRIPTURAL teachings, actionable take-aways, fellowship, WORSHIP, GAMES, and relaxation.

Camp Activities
A camp leader's main responsibility is to invest in and build relationships with the small group of students to which they are assigned. they will do this through meals together, breakout sessions, camp adventure activities, and discipleship.
We answer the calling to find the best and safest staff. All applicants must complete an extensive application, undergo a face-to-face interview, and submit two references.

At Genuine, we know what an honor it is for you to trust us with your kids for a week and so we take safety and security very seriously. It is important to us that we provide spaces where your daughter is safe and protected while exploring, making friends, having fun and learning more about God.
We are committed to the safety of all campers. Our comprehensive safety plan covers weather safety, medical care, staff screening, and activity safety. Our goal is for every parent to feel confident with their child spending a fun and safe week at camp.

WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S BELOVED SON
Being in very nature God, He was present and active in creation. He lived on this earth, taught men to know the path to salvation, and was crucified for our sin in order to reconcile us with God. He was raised from the grave on the third day and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God, where He now intercedes with the Father on our behalf. We believe in His eventual return, His ultimate victory over Satan, and His eternal reign.

Melissa Lynn Hunt
Founder & Lead Director
Melissa is the founder and director of Choose Kind Camp. She has educated and mentored students through years in public education and her work as the Genuine Team Founder and High School Leader. Melissa is passionate about expository teaching and leading by example. She has spent 20 years working with our youth equipping them to live in the fullness of who God created them to be. Melissa has recently extended her missions through Genuine magazine, podcast, and a Genuine Mom's group.
Melissa is best known for her love of life and desire for a Genuine community.
Kaitlyn Stancil
Program Director
Kaitlyn is a Certified Health & Life Coach with a passion for mental health. She has coached and volunteered for several years and thrives on being a light for others. Aside from coaching, she finds joy in spending quiet time with God and creating new recipes in the kitchen. Kaitlyn is the Genuine Sisters Team Leader where she teaches and mentors middle school girls. After having a daughter of her own, she feels it is her mission to bind all of her skills together to teach our girls the importance of community, confidence, and kindness.
Kaitlyn is best known for her love of healthy eating and spontaneous dancing.

The Choose Kind LEADERSHIP Team is an integral part of the kindness mission, designed for females ages 18-25 who have a desire to serve. The leadership team invests in a small group of students for the day. They pursue relationships with those students throughout the camp day by leading breakout sessions, eating meals together, enjoying outdoor activity time together, sharing snack breaks, and bonding at during worship. The goal is to build relationships with and disciple our next generation of women.

The Choose Kind Apprentice Team aka"The A Team" is an integral part of the kindness mission, designed for high school freshmen, sophomore, and junior students who have a desire to serve. A Team members are volunteers that are given the opportunity to grow in personal discipleship, leadership, and practical skills.
One of our goals is to equip A-Team members so they can return and serve on the Leadership Team one day.
